About  the Artist

Kate N Orr is a 22 year old artist based in Central Indiana. She has always loved to draw, and began seriously pursuing a career when she was 14. She entered library art shows and won awards in high school art competitions, doing drawing commissions on the side.

Following other artists' advice against attending art school, Kate elected to take the unconventional path and not attend a college or atelier. Although mostly self-taught, she has received training under the tutelage of today's masters. Since 2017, I have taken workshops with internationally recognized artists like Robert Liberace, Alicia Ponzio, Daniel Keys, Michelle Dunaway, Tina Garrett, and Sherrie McGraw.

Kate's artwork has been displayed in exhibitions regionally and nationally, including the Indianapolis International Airport, the Indiana State Museum, the Parsons School of Design, and the Salmagundi Club in NYC.  Kate's art has been featured in art magazines, regional shows, and international exhibitions.

Kate is a member of the Indiana Artists Club, American Artists Professional League, Women Artists of the West, and an ambassador for ArtFrames.com.
